Don’t give up. Sometimes I just couldn’t get Dad to do anything. However, he never really remembered me trying. If I kept trying it didn’t bother him because it was like the first time every time. When I keep at it, eventually (sometime during the week) he will walk with me. Don’t be defeated. A refusal isn’t a setback or a failure. It’s just them letting you know what they would like. You want that. I find it gratifying when I see him get what he’d like. Sometimes, it is what I want too-especially if I have been persistent.
